Human remains were discovered last Thursday at a construction site in northern Greenwich, police said.

Workers uncovered the bones during excavation work, according to police.

The remains were collected and sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest the remains are of considerable age, officials said.
