A few rain shower chances pair with mild late-February temperatures much of this week. Keep an umbrella with you today and keep it nearby for later this week!

Even though the lower Hudson Valley will not see much rain today, there is the chance for a couple of light passing rain showers throughout the day. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and mild with high temperatures hitting the low to mid-50s!

Tomorrow continues to be the Pick of the Week with breaks of sunshine and highs around 51 degrees. A cloudy sky develops into the evening with showers arriving at night ahead of a wet Thursday. While impacts will be fairly low on Thursday, we will see periods of light rain showers much of the day. Rain totals remain low - around one-quarter of one inch or so.

Friday will be nice again, but a bit cooler and more seasonable with a high temperature of around 44 degrees.

This weekend will begin with a clipper system passing to our north. This will be close enough to give the lower Hudson Valley a few passing rain or snow showers. This will mostly fall as rain showers, but higher elevations may have some wet snowflakes mixing in. Overall impacts remain low and a good portion of the day will likely be dry.

Sunday and Monday will be colder with high temperatures back down into the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. That being said, another warmup moves in starting next Tuesday with high temperatures jumping right back to the upper 40s to mid-50s through the middle of next week.

THURSDAY: LIGHT RAIN - Cloudy with periods of mostly light rain showers. Around one-quarter of an inch of rain is expected. Highs around 54 degrees. Lows around 36 degrees.

FRIDAY: Sun and clouds. Breezy and a bit chillier, but still slightly above average with highs around 44 degrees. Lows near 26 degrees.

SATURDAY: RAIN OR SNOW SHOWER - Mostly cloudy - a few breaks of sun possible. A couple of rain showers, perhaps mixed with a few wet snowflakes in higher elevations. This is from a clipper system mostly passing to the north. Highs around 46 degrees. Lows around 29 degrees.

SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Chilly. Highs around 38 degrees. Lows around 20 degrees.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with highs around 40 degrees. Lows near 23 degrees.
