Both Democratic and Republican candidates spent the final Saturday before Election Day trying to encourage people around the Hudson Valley to get out the vote.
A group of Democrats held a rally in Bedford Hills. Key figures like New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Westchester County Executive George Latimer all attended. They stumped on Mondaire Jones, who is vying to represent the 17th District in Congress and take back his seat from Republican Rep. Mike Lawler.
"It's been a real slog of a campaign. People are very scared, especially on the national level," said. Democratic voter Phyllis Ross.
Hudson Valley Republicans, like Assemblymember Matt Slater, who is up for re-election in the 94th District, rallied their voters in Shrub Oak.
"It's like a team…we all work together, I knock doors, I make phone calls," said Republican voter Annmarie Considine.
Early voting ends Sunday in New York. Election Day is Tuesday.
