Preparations are happening now for the snow heading to the Hudson Valley this weekend.
Officials in Yonkers say fortunately, the snow is expected on Sunday when less people will be out and about.
They say Friday and Saturday are the best days to prepare and get whatever supplies you need.
It's also a good time to make sure your snow blower is working, especially if you haven't used it in a while.
"A lot of times we put away our snow blowers for the summer months. If there's gas in there, the gas goes bad and then when we pull it out for the storm, it doesn't start," says Gregory Speight whose family runs the Grassy Sprain Paint & Hardware store in Yonkers.
Crews with the Yonkers Department of Public Works are ready to go.
They will be out in full force over the weekend.
Law enforcement around the Hudson Valley urge drivers to take it easy, if the conditions get slick.
Many residents in the Hudson Valley tell News 12, they are actually looking forward to the snow.
"I want to go up to my cousin's house and go sledding," says 11-year-old Yonkers resident, Jax Bonura.
