Holiday travelers head out on Fourth of July getaway day

AAA projects a record number of New Jersey residents to be on the move this weekend, with over 2 million heading out this Fourth of July weekend.
The worst time to hit the road today is 2-6 p.m. The worst time to hit the road Friday is 12-7 p.m.
Traffic is expected to ramp up on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 12-6 p.m. Sunday.
Port Authority says it will be very busy as well, with over 3.3 million drivers expected to use Port Authority crossings this weekend. Around 5.5 million are expected to use Port Authority airports, bridges and tunnels between today and Monday.
