WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The arctic air is finally easing, but another storm is on the way. With warmer temperatures on Thursday night, we'll see heavy rain and winds through the Hudson Valley.
Early Friday morning will see temperatures surge above normal, but the combination of 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain and melting snow creates a high risk of street flooding and a messy morning commute.
Wind gusts will peak at approximately 40 mph before a cold front slams the door shut Friday night. We’ll be back to cold, seasonal weather by the official start of winter this Sunday.

FORECAST:

THURSDAY: Sun to clouds. Rain showers late. Highs in the mid-40s.
FRIDAY: Wind-driven rain early, windy. Temperatures drop throughout the day with an early high of 58. Lows around 31.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, breezy and cold returns. Highs in the upper-30s and low-40s.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny. High of around 46.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Cold. Highs around 38. Lows around 24,
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, wintry mix showers early. High of36.
