The Andover Township Police Department responded to a serious head-on motor vehicle crash on U.S. Highway Route 206 that left one person dead and two others injured.

A vehicle traveling northbound at approximately 2:15 p.m. Saturday crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Three people required emergency medical treatment at the scene. One person was taken by ambulance to Morristown Medical Center, while another was flown there by helicopter.

A third person was taken to Newton ER, where they later died.
