A red-tailed hawk was rescued Thursday afternoon after flying through a resident’s window in Gloucester Township, police said.
Gloucester Township police say officers were dispatched around 4:55 p.m. to the Broadmoor Development for a report of a large bird inside a home.
Police said Patrolman Ryan Fink and Patrolman Michael Dilks located the hawk, later identified as Hank, startled and confused but in good condition.
Officers said the bird was secured and turned over to a local animal control officer.
Police said the hawk was transported to the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge for evaluation and possible treatment.
