Shannoy Fraser, an 18-year-old top-performing senior at Harding High School in Bridgeport, is advancing her medical career with a prestigious summer research internship at Oregon Health and Science University, funded entirely by the Bridgeport nonprofit Hall Neighborhood House.
Supported by her community, Fraser, who got a full ride to Wesleyan University, plans to specialize in psychiatry to address mental health challenges in young people.
