Hackensack University Medical Center named New Jersey's top hospital in new rankings
Hackensack University Medical Center has been named the top hospital in New Jersey in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The Bergen County hospital ranked No. 1 among 93 hospitals evaluated statewide and also placed No. 4 in the New York metropolitan region.
Only 11 hospitals in New Jersey met the standards required to be recognized as a Best Regional Hospital.
Hackensack University Medical Center earned national rankings in seven adult specialties and five pediatric specialties. The hospital also received high-performing ratings in 22 adult procedures and conditions.
Morristown Medical Center ranked No. 2 in New Jersey and No. 10 in the New York metropolitan area. The Atlantic Health System hospital earned national rankings in three adult specialties and high-performing ratings in 23 adult procedures and conditions.
Overlook Medical Center in Summit claimed the No. 3 spot statewide and tied for No. 16 in the New York metropolitan region.
Cooper University Hospital in Camden County ranked fourth in New Jersey and No. 8 in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Englewood Hospital rounded out the state's top five hospitals, ranking No. 21 in the New York metropolitan region.
