A big policy change goes into effect at Six Flags Great Adventure on Saturday. Children aged 15 and under will not be allowed inside the park after 5 p.m. without an adult chaperone.

Six Flags posted the change on its Facebook page last weekend and the majority of people supported the decision.

The policy applies to season pass and ticket holders and could be enforced earlier in the day at the discretion of Six Flags management.

The policy states that guests 15 and under must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. Guests may have to produce a valid ID noting their age.

The chaperone must accompany the group of kids walking into the park and must be reachable by phone once inside the park. The chaperone cannot leave children at any point during the visit.

Anyone violating the chaperone policy could be kicked out of the park.
