One of New Jersey's largest food companies is helping News 12 fill backpacks ahead of the new school year.
Goya, headquartered in New Jersey, is donating snacks to distribute at News 12's back-to-school backpack giveaways in partnership with Optimum and Warner Bros. Discovery.
"As Goya celebrates 90 years, there's no better way to honor this milestone than by giving back," said Maricela Bayez, public relations and partnerships specialist at Goya. "Through our Goya Gives initiative, Goya is proud to partner with News 12 to provide 5,000 pounds of snacks to local students because every child deserves to start the school year healthy, confident and ready to succeed."
The backpack giveaways will be held throughout News 12's coverage area.
