Gov. Kathy Hochul was on Long Island Monday, visiting with a Copiague family to discuss her affordability agenda.
She touted her budget deal, which includes plans for a middle-class tax cut, child tax credit, inflation rebate and school lunches.
The child tax credit would be for $1,000 per child under the age of 4 and $500 for children over 4 years old.
The inflation rebate would give $200 per individual and $400 for families.
She hopes these measures will help to address rising costs on Long Island and across New York state.
