Gov. Andrew Cuomo is expected to make changes Wednesday to the restrictions happening across New York red zones.
The move comes on the heels of ramped up enforcement in Rockland County.
A drive through those areas on Tuesday showed more compliance with some yeshivas that were open last week and are now closed.
News 12 still saw many kids in red zones getting picked up by school buses. Jewish community leaders say some students attend schools completely out of restricted areas, highlighting a major flaw in the crackdown initiative.
Cuomo says the 14-day restrictions set to expire this week will become even more targeted, tackling the spread street to street.
People are encouraged to report violations to the Rockland County COVID-19 Hotline at 845-238-1956. The hotline is open from Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. People can also email violations to COVIDCallCenter@co.rockland.ny.us.
