Interested in becoming a Global Entry traveler, but don't want to go through the hassle of going to JFK airport?
Nassau County and U.S. Border and Customs Enforcement have made it a reality by opening a Global Entry enrollment center at Eisenhower Park.
The site is open twice a week, but that will increase to three times a week after July 4, and eventually be open Monday through Friday.
Federal officials say a six-month backlog at JFK was a factor in opening up an additional location for travelers to interview for the program.
They also add that the Global Entry card, which includes TSA PreCheck, also serves as a Real ID.
