It appears to be "game over" for Barcade in Brooklyn.

The company known as the “original arcade bar” announced this week that its Williamsburg location could close when its lease is up.

“Our lease is ending,” said Paul Kermizian, Barcade co-founder and CEO. “It’s possible that we might be able to extend, but I don’t really think we will.”

The site, which opened in 2004, offers American craft beers and classic arcade games.

Kermizian said the decision comes after seeing new developments in the area and a decrease in nightlife trends.

“This neighborhood has changed so much, as far as nightlife goes, that it financially just doesn’t make a lot of sense,” Kermizian said.

Kermizian explained why the company is giving customers 1,000-day notice.

“When we closed our location in Jersey City, people really gave us a lot of grief for only giving a couple months’ notice,” Kermizian said. “So, we just passed 1,000 days, and it just seemed like a nice, round number to give people a heads up.”

Barcade currently operates eight other locations, including three in Manhattan.
