All eyes were on New Canaan Friday night as the two top-ranked teams in the state squared off.
No. 1 New Canaan struck first when quarterback Maddox Hoffman connected with Ryan Brooks for a 16-yard touchdown pass at the beginning of the second quarter.
The rams added to their lead with four minutes left in the first half when Hoffman found Charlie Koch for a 51-yard touchdown pass.
No. 1 New Canaan went on to win 14-7 to stay undefeated.
No. 6 Wilton blanked Stamford 35-0.
Warriors running back Dennis Dustin had a pair of touchdown runs in the first half to help Wilton improve to 6-0 on the season.
In Milford, Jonathan Law improved to 5-1, with a 49-14 win over East Haven.
No. 8 Staples, Newtown and Fairfield Ludlowe all picked up big wins Friday night.
