A former Hoboken city employee has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for stealing nearly $400,000 in public funds.

Leo Pellegrini pleaded guilty after using city money to fund his private travel soccer club.

Part of his job involved renting out sports fields. Court documents show he submitted more than $200,000 in personal expenses, which the city unknowingly paid.
