Parents doing last-minute back-to-school shopping have some new same-day delivery options, with several major clothing, book and department store chains now available through DoorDash.

Gap, Gap Factory, Barnes & Noble, Carter’s and Kohl’s have joined the delivery platform, allowing customers to order items from participating stores for delivery rather than making a separate trip to the retailer.

The additions cover several common back-to-school categories. Barnes & Noble offers books, study guides, school supplies, toys and games through the app, while Carter’s offers children's clothing and other items.

Customers can also order clothing and accessories from participating Gap and Gap Factory stores. Kohl’s adds a broader selection that includes clothing and home goods.

Both on-demand and scheduled delivery are available for Gap and Gap Factory orders. Products and delivery options for the retailers vary depending on location.

DoorDash announced the partnerships this month as families prepare for the new school year. The company has increasingly added retailers beyond the restaurants and grocery stores traditionally associated with delivery apps.
