A Trenton resident was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to deliver food to a home Saturday night, police told News 12.
According to Trenton Police Capt. Lisette Rios, the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. On the 200-block of Woodland Avenue. Police say the driver, a 34-year-old man, exited his vehicle near the home to make his delivery.
"He was immediately approached by two males brandishing handguns," Rios said.
The men took cash from the driver as well as the food he was attempting to deliver. Two other suspects then entered the victim's vehicle, where they took additional cash. The suspects all fled on foot.
A detective from the Trenton Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating the incident, Rios said.
No injuries to the delivery driver were reported.
