Flock cameras will remain in Milford despite privacy concerns.
The city's Board of Alderman Thursday voted against a proposal by Mayor Richard Smith that would have suspended Flock cameras, along with speed and red-light cameras.
Smith has said he would prefer Flock cameras to be located on the city's borders and along highways to help police investigate crimes.
Milford police and other departments have previously said these cameras help solve crimes.
Instead, leaders voted to create a Public Safety Technology Review Committee to look into the cameras and how they are used. It is expected to meet twice a year.
