A fire completely engulfed a New City home Saturday morning, according to Chief Christopher Bowers of the Hillcrest Fire Department.

New City, Spring Valley, Nanuet and Hillcrest fire departments all responded to a residential fire at 1 West Burda Pl. at 4:18 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews determined it likely started outside the residence near a deck area.

Fire crews confirm there were no injuries, but a dog has died.

The fire is being investigated by the Clarkstown Fire Inspectors’ Office.
