Baby Elora Banks was born at 12:07 a.m. as the first baby of 2026 at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall in Newburgh. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces.
The hospital says both mom and baby are doing well.
In Rockland County, Franceskha and Jean welcomed a baby boy at 12:51 a.m. He was the first baby born in 2026 at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
