Somers volunteer firefighters rescued a person trapped in the wreck of a single-vehicle crash on Saturday morning.

Authorities say traffic was blocked for around an hour near Route 139 and Brick Hill Road.

Crews worked to safely extricate the victim from the car, which overturned during the collision.

Officials say the victim was assessed and taken to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately clear.
