A tractor-trailer fire broke out Tuesday morning in Fairfield Township near Passaic Avenue.
Fairfield firefighters were dispatched to the scene following reports of a heavy fire involving a commercial truck. Engine 1 arrived first and immediately went into service. Engine 2 arrived shortly after, providing additional water and support.
The West Caldwell Fire Department assisted the Fairfield crew as they worked to bring the fire under control.
“Thanks to the quick response from all units, the fire was brought under control without further incident,” the department said in a statement.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
