A fire in Roselle late Monday afternoon spread to multiple homes and displaced dozens of people.
The fire started on the 300 block of East Ninth Avenue around 5 p.m. Monday and spread to at least three homes. Officials with the town of Roselle and the American Red Cross say that at least 25 people were displaced.
The Red Cross says that the organization will be helping residents with temporary housing, clothing and food.
Jamel Holley, a former assemblyman and mayor in Roselle, says that at least one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. There were no reports of any residents being injured.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
