A fire inside a Yonkers building left several apartments uninhabitable on Saturday, according to officials.
Crews responded to the scene on Caryl Avenue after receiving reports of the blaze around 8:50 a.m.
"Upon arrival there was heavy volume of fire…We had to transmit a second alarm," said Yonkers Fire Chief James Kenny.
Gas and electric for the building have since been turned off, according to officials.
