One of two Melrose businesses that were destroyed by a fire that forced 10 people out of their homes was once featured in a Bad Bunny music video.

The fire that broke out around 11 a.m. on Courtlandt Avenue damaged Juanito’s Grocery and a neighboring florist shop.

The grocery store once gained attention after appearing in the music video, a moment many residents say brought excitement and pride to the community.

The FDNY says four firefighters were injured while battling the flames.

Neighbors say the loss is heartbreaking.

Flowers were placed outside what remains of the businesses as residents reflect on the memories made there.

Resident Berta says she hopes Bad Bunny does not forget about the corner that meant so much to the neighborhood. She also hopes the deli and florist shop can one day be restored.
