A car burst into flames Tuesday afternoon on the Sunken Meadow Parkway.

State police say it happened on the northbound side near Exit SM1.

Troopers responded to the scene around 12:29 p.m. and firefighters safely extinguished the blaze.

Footage shows the vehicle charred and surrounded by firefighters.

No injuries were reported, and the cause remains unclear.
