Volunteer fire departments are holding recruitment drives across the Hudson Valley on Saturday and Sunday.
Fire officials say they are receiving more calls and need new crew members to help with response efforts.
Volunteer responsibilities go beyond just fighting fires, according to authorities.

Those who join can also receive scholarships, tax incentives and more.
