A Fairleigh Dickinson University poll says that Democratic Rep. Andy Kim is favored over Republican Curtis Bashaw in the United States Senate race.
The poll states that Kim is heading with a 57-39% lead over Bashaw.
Kim’s 18-point lead is in line with previous Senate elections in New Jersey. Democrats haven’t lost a U.S. Senate race in the state since 1972, and they have won all of them by double digits since 2006.
Kim and Bashaw are competing for the seat formerly held by Sen. Bob Menendez who resigned earlier this year following his bribery and corruption conviction.
