Sixteen people were injured Tuesday morning during a crash between a Bx41 bus and a DSNY vehicle, the FDNY says.
The FDNY says all the patients were taken to SBH Health System with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The incident happened between Webster Avenue and East 187th Street.
The DSNY tells News 12 that it was supervisor's passenger car that was involved in the crash, not a collection truck. They say they are investigating the incident.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the MTA bus was traveling northbound in the bus lane when a passenger vehicle in the left lane cut it off.
Authorities say this caused a T-bone crash.
Witnesses in the area tell News 12 they heard a loud boom when the bus and car collided. The DSNY car was towed, and the bus was taken off scene.
