Today marks seven years since 5-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez vanished from a Cumberland County park in broad daylight, leaving family, friends and law enforcement still searching for answers.

Alavez disappeared while playing with her 3-year-old brother at Bridgeton City Park. Investigators say her mother was seated in a nearby vehicle when the young girl suddenly vanished from the playground area.

Despite extensive search efforts over the years by local, state and federal authorities, investigators have continued to appeal to the public for a breakthrough in the case.

Marking the anniversary, the FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to solving her disappearance.
