Let the countdown begin.
The biggest names in golf will tee it up in Cromwell in less than two months at this year's Travelers Championship.
"Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, already committed," tournament director Nathan Grube says. "Xander Schauffele and Tommie Fleetwood, too."
Crews have been hard at work for months getting the TPC River Highlands course ready for the golfers and fans.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators will walk the grounds during tournament week.
“There is so much thought that goes into every bit of the entire fan journey, from the time they buy tickets to the time they go home," Grube says. "The fans are giving us a day, and we want to make sure their day is absolutely amazing."
The tournament has donated $60 million to local nonprofits across New England since its inception in 1952, including $5 million from last year's tournament alone.
“My favorite day of the year is the day in the fall when we invite all of the charities in, and we announce what we gave out," Grube says. “By far, those days in October when you get to talk about the charities is absolutely phenomenal."
Defending champion Keegan Bradley has won the Travelers Championship two of the last three years.
The celebrity Pro Am is slated for Wednesday June 24.
Tournament play tees off the day after on Thursday.
