Shittu’s brothers describe him as a good man, who wanted to make his mark in the fashion industry.
Shittu was gunned down inside the Quilox Lounge on Feb. 14.
“We're just feeling sad and everybody is just holding in,” said Salem Shittu, the younger brother of Sheriff. “We're just trying to be strong right now. We're just really worried about getting justice for him.”
Sheriff and his other brother were at a birthday celebration inside Quilox lounge early Saturday morning, when an argument between the victim and a disorderly patron — turned deadly.
“We don't know how the security did not do the job and search properly before somebody could bring a gun in the club,” said Shittu. “He was being kicked out and he was being escorted out when he did it.”
After trying to get in contact with Quilox Lounge, none of News12’s emails were answered. The phone numbers listed on their website and social media are also now out of service.
For the family of Sheriff Shittu, now missing a piece of their puzzle; they say the only path forward is justice.
While police continue to track down the suspect, anyone with information on his whereabouts, is asked to come forward.
