A tree is responsible for starting an electrical fire in Suffolk County Tuesday afternoon.

The Nesconset Fire Department was activated around 3:30 p.m. for the emergency on Gibbs Pond Road in Nesconset.

Upon arrival, fire crews determined a fallen tree brought down a primary line that ignited the blaze in the brush and on a PVC fence.

Engine 4-4-1 responded and firefighters worked to secure the area while preventing the shed from going up in flames and stretching a precautionary hose line, fire officials say.

The scene was placed under control around 4:45 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
