Primrose Street was shut down near the Somers Library as crews worked to remove a fallen tree and repair damaged electrical lines.
According to the Somers Town Supervisor, the road could remain closed for six to seven hours. At the scene, both NYSEG workers and a tree removal crew were observed working to clear the debris and restore power safely.
Officials say one lane of Primrose Street may reopen at some point, but there is no confirmed timeline for when that could happen.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
