        HEADLINES:
        • More record-breaking warmth on Long Island Friday. Islip Airport hit 80 degrees, breaking the previous record of 77 degrees in 1982.
        • Fall makes a comeback this weekend with mostly clear skies and much cooler temperatures.
        • Long Island is now in a moderate drought and there is no big measurable rain headed our way in the extended forecast.
        • Following a cool weekend, temperatures will be on the rise again next week as the roller coaster ride continues.
        FORECAST:
        OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and cooler. Breezy at times with lows near 45 degrees. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph. Sunrise: 7:25 a.m.
        SATURDAY: Sunny and nice. Cooler and breezy at times with highs near 60 degrees. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Sunset: 5:47 p.m. Clear and cold at night with lows near 39 degrees.
