Fairfield town officials led a ribbon-cutting celebration Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of MiniTown Café and Play.
The business doubles as a coffee shop and playspace for kids.
Owners Christine and Nelson Santos say they opened up after seeing fellow parents' need for a spot for their kids to play safely, while they take time for themselves.
"I want to invite everybody that [hasn’t] come yet to come. If you have kids 0 to 6, definitely come here. And if you don't you can come for the coffee," Christine Santos said.
"Enjoy a cup of coffee. A nice cup of coffee. Good quality,” Nelson Santos said. “Some people come here to work and sit on the computer, read a book. So, it's a nice place to enjoy."
The cafe on Kings Highway East also supports local families through community events, classes and activities.
