The Fairfield Police Department is taking part in the annual Pink Pledge to support those fighting breast cancer.

Throughout October, a special pink police car will be on the front lawn of the department.

Officers will also wear pink undershirts, pink badges or shirts with pink versions of Fairfield's patch.

The Pink Pledge is an awareness and fundraising campaign held every October to benefit the Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer Center.
