        Fairfield police: 2 teens in stolen car arrested

        Police say a 2016 gray Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen out of Easton, Pennsylvania on Friday. The vehicle was located along Route 46 through an automated license plate reader, located within Fairfield.

        Fairfield police say they arrested two teens who were riding in a stolen car.
        It happened in Fairfield along Route 46 west on Sunday.
        Police say a 2016 gray Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen out of Easton, Pennsylvania on Friday. The vehicle was located along Route 46 through an automated license plate reader, located within Fairfield.
        Officers conducted a stop and placed two 16-year-olds under arrest. The car was impounded and the victim was contacted.
        The driver was charged with receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The passenger was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
        Both juveniles were later released to family members pending an initial court appearance
