The Fairfield Museum and History Center honored the signing of the Declaration of Independence with its Burning of Fairfield Walking Tour.
Tuesday marked the 247th anniversary of the attack on Fairfield.
The tour goes into detail about the two-day raid in Fairfield from July 7 until July 8 in 1779 that left 97 homes on fire.
The attacks also took place in New Haven and Norwalk.
Event organizers say the goal of the event is to inform the public, as well as showcase the homes that survived the raid.
