The Fairfield Public Library announced "Culpability" by Bruce Holsinger as its One Book One Town selection for 2026.

Since 2008, a committee of community members annually select the year's book, hoping to spark up discussion about current issues, such as AI, which the book delves into.

While "Culpability" is geared to teens and adults, another book selection will be available for middle-grade readers called "The School for Whatnots" by Margaret Peterson Haddix.

Copies of the book will be available to borrow from Fairfield's libraries or for purchase at various bookstores in Fairfield and Black Rock.

The author, Bruce Holsinger, will speak at the Sacred Heart University Theater in Fairfield on March 4.
