        FAA set to force LI air traffic controllers to relocate to Philadelphia in weeks

        In just five weeks, 17 air traffic controllers working out of Westbury will have to move to Philadelphia if they want to keep their jobs.
        The FAA is mandating the move as it shifts its operations of Newark Liberty airspace, which the affected controllers monitor, from New York to Philadelphia.
        Nassau County Reps. Anthony D’Esposito and Tom Suozzi held a joint press conference Tuesday to call on the federal agency to rescind the order and allow these Long Island families to stay home.
        The FAA has not responded to News 12's request for comment.
