“A quick dip, leave and go home,” Bath Beach resident Frank Petito said.
Residents in Norwalk, Connecticut were wishing for a body of water to swim in.
“I'd like to go jump in a pool right now, but I'm working," hotdog vendor Mark Delguidice said.
In Yonkers, people were out enjoying the hot weather, but still thinking of ways to beat the heat.
“Either stay inside with the AC or my complex has a pool,” Mike Magrone said.
The extreme heat is expected to last through Friday.
