Exclusive surveillance video obtained by News 12 shows the moments two masked suspects smashed their way into Purple Specialty Pharmacy on Feb. 5, making off with a bag full of controlled substances in under five minutes.
The masked suspects are caught on camera, using crowbars to break in before quickly clearing shelves — leaving the new pharmacy out of thousands of dollars' worth of damages.
The NYPD says the incident is part of a citywide pattern targeting pharmacies across the city, including in Brooklyn and Queens. Police believe the suspects may be connected to similar break-ins and could be using a gray Infiniti sedan as a getaway car.
They say anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit a tip online at
NYPD Crime Stoppers. All tips are confidential.
