Every legislative seat and seven town supervisor positions were on the ballot for voters in Suffolk County.
News 12’s Joe Arena and Logan Crawford will be following the races as the votes are counted.
Democrats are hoping for an upset in two big town supervisor races, Huntington and Riverhead.
Cooper Macco is the Democrat candidate for Huntington town supervisor, who is hoping to upset the current supervisor, Republican Ed Smyth.
Jerry Halpin is the Democratic candidate for Riverhead Town supervisor, challenging the incumbent Republican, Tim Hubbard.
Democrats are also hoping to get a few upsets in the Suffolk County Legislature. The GOP currently holds a supermajority.
Republican leaders will be watching the results of the election at Stereo Garden in Patchogue. Democrats will be at IBEW local 1049 Union Hall in Holtsville.
