Yonkers became a place of celebration Tuesday as couples honored a lifetime together ahead of Valentine's Day.
Sixteen couples married for 50 years or more renewed their vows at City Hall. The couples shared moments from their lives and reflected on what has helped their marriages endure.
Sheila Greenwald, of Yonkers, shared her secret to keeping the flame burning. "Just keep loving each other every day. You know, he's my best friend. I can't imagine a life without him. And it's been fabulous for all these years. We're very lucky."
The ceremony was officiated by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.
