        Evacuation order lifted after gas leak at Clark Town Hall

        Mayor Sal Bonaccorso reported that the preschool students and staff were safely relocated to the high school while emergency responders worked to identify and contain the leak.

        A gas leak at the Clark Town Hall in New Jersey prompted a precautionary evacuation of the building, including students and staff at the attached preschool.
        Mayor Sal Bonaccorso reported that the preschool students and staff were safely relocated to the high school while emergency responders worked to identify and contain the leak.
        Clark police, fire department and Elizabethtown Gas officials collaborated to locate the source of the leak, isolate it and secure it before 9 a.m.
        The all-clear was given, and the town hall was deemed safe.
