Easton police are searching for the person who they say drove 100 mph in a school zone.
Police say on Oct. 16, officers clocked a vehicle driving 55 mph on Route 59 south in front of Helen Keller Middle School.
When an officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver pulled away and sped up to 100 mph in a school zone right after school dismissal, which police said put residents and students in danger.
Police say because of the excessive speed, the number of people on the road and legislation that prevents them from engaging in a pursuit, they were unable to identify the vehicle's registration plate.
